Turning the curve off of Summit and winding around the Cemetery is very creepy at night. Venturing down Andrill Terrace feels like a flashback to the the Bridge Troll book I read as a child. I was waiting any minute for the Troll to come out of the bushes and eat me. Just Kidding. 🙂
Well, its wasn’t that creepy, but pretty close. Out of all of the overhead lights and street lanterns on this road under the three I-277 underpasses, 8 of them were out within 500 feet. It felt very dark and creepy and there was water running down the nearby creek. I never wrapped so many poles so fast in my life. I got them all reported and one-by-one they were all fixed. They never worked together though, as one would get repaired, another one would go out. More to come on this story!
Update: October 2020 – A new Transformer has to be installed, because it cant perform at capacity with all of these lights finally running.
Update : December 2020 – A new Jet Track of Wire must be laid down underground for all of these lights because there are shortages happening. (Maybe this is what caused the Transformer to blow).
Update: April 2021 – All lights now work between Summit and Oaklawn Ave on Andrill Terrace. Enjoy your late night strolls by the Cemetery. Trolls be gone!
