I am riding through the 4th Ward tonight and I see a lot of businesses very dark. Its concerning that so many businesses are not concerned about their property or the neighborhood after they close. I noticed the CVS pharmacy lights go out a little after 11:00 PM. This is a pharmacy, which has highly sought after drugs inside and other businesses in the building. Upon further research, I found out that the business is in a leased space. I informed the CVS manager so he could tell the property owner. We will see if any changes happen.
When I notice these issues at businesses, I will bring it to their attention. They might not realize since most of these businesses are not open after it gets dark outside. If its a Duke Maintained light and I can see that the light bulb is flickering, I will report it to Duke. Unfortunately, at CVS this building has private lighting.
